Uma compra bastante inesperada da minha parte: uma camisola rosa. Não é um tom de rosa que consiga propriamente categorizar - não sei se é melancia, salmão ou whatever -, mas é rosa e eu não uso rosa. Não sei se alguma vez repararam, mas há certas cores que simplesmente não estão presentes no meu armário. Não por não gostar propriamente delas, mas porque não me identifico a vesti-las, nem acho que favoreçam o meu tom de pele. Mas eu tenho umas ideias um pouco estranhas às vezes, por isso não me admiro que estejam a pensar 'Mas estás maluca?'. Enfim, comprei uma t-shirt rosa em Londres e o facto é que a usei logo no dia seguinte. Será uma reviravolta e vou passar a gostar de usar cor-de-rosa ou foi um pequeno aparte? A very unexpected buy from me: a pink tee. It's not an easy color to describe actually - I don't know if it's watermelon or more like salmon -, but it is pink and I don't wear pink. Don't know if you ever noticed it, but there are some colors I just don't have in my closet. Not because I don't like them, but because I don't think they suit me so well. Don't know, I have a few weird ideas actually, so I won't mind if you're thinking 'Are you crazy?' right now. Yes, I bought a pink tee in London and wore it the next day. So I don't know if I'm going to wear pink from now on or if it's just one in a lifetime. We're gonna have to wait and see. Hope you like it and have a nice week! Kisses

Views from the Sky Garden

At Borough Market

Finally made it to the London Eye

O nosso terceiro dia por Londres começou com uma visita ao Sky Garden, que já queríamos ter visitado o ano passado. Para tal é preciso fazer reserva online com uma semana de antecedência, mas é gratuito e vale super a pena. Sobem 35 andares para terem uma vista 360º sobre a cidade, é espetacular! Depois fomos almoçar ao Nando's - um dos nossos restaurantes favoritos - e rumamos até ao Borough Market, um dos mercados mais antigos e ainda em funcionamento em Londres, que nunca tínhamos visitado antes. O próximo destino era o London Eye (que, por incrível que pareça, nunca tínhamos realmente visitado) e decidimos ir a pé. Não foi grande ideia, estava demasiado calor e demoramos quase uma hora para lá chegarmos, mas chegamos! Paramos um pouco para descansar e seguimos viagem até ao Victoria and Albert Museum. Como já fomos um pouco tarde, não conseguimos ver tudo o que queríamos e então fomos até Trafalgar Square, onde têm a loja M&M's World, Lego e várias outras típicas de souvenir e doces. Entretanto era hora de jantar e fomos até um italiano - típico -, onde comemos a melhor pizza da nossa vida, juro! O nome era Garfunkel's e, se forem a Londres, experimentem a pizza American Hot de lá (depois digam-me algo). E acabou assim este dia. Espero que estejam a gostar dos posts sobre a viagem! Beijo

Our third day in London started with a visit to the Sky Garden that we already wanted to visit last year. For that you need to make a reservation online a week before but it's free and totally worth it. You go up 35 floors to have a full 360º view over the city, it's amazing! We went to have lunch at Nando's after that, it's a place we both like so much and then went to Borough Market, one of the oldest ones in London that is still in use. After that was the London Eye, that we never really visited before, and we decided to go walking (not the best idea, if you ask me). It was too hot and it took us almost an hour to get there but we made it. We rested a little and then move on to next destination: Victoria and Albert Museum. Since we went a little bit late, we couldn't see everything we wanted and had to leave earlier. We decided to go to Trafalgar Square where you have lots of souvenir and sweets stores and M&M's World, Lego store and so on. We also had dinner there in an italian restaurant called Garfunkel's where we had the best pizza in our lives, seriously! If you ever come to London, just go there and try the American Hot pizza (then tell me something). And it's the end of this day. Hope you're enjoying these posts from our trip! Kisses

O que é que aconteceu com as meias estações? São as ninhas preferidas e nem vê-las! A transição tem sido feita do oito para o oitenta, é de tirar uma pessoa do sério! As meias estações servem para fazer a transição de temperatura de forma moderada, não brusca. Enfim, tinha de partilhar isto. Este foi o último look mais quente que usei, a partir deste dia só as t-shirts me safaram. E já toda a gente sabe que no Verão sou muito limitada no que toca a roupa. O calor é tanto, que tudo o que consigo usar são calças e uma t-shirt. Não estou preparada para isso. Mais alguém? Espero que gostem e tenham um bom dia! Beijo

What happened with mid seasons? They're my favourite and they're none existent now. The transition is made from eight to eighty, I get so mad about it! Mid season should exist to make a slow transition to people get used to the temperature different, not this way. I'm sorry, but I really had to say it out. This was the last look I wore with winter clothes, after that only tees have my back. The hot is too much during summer time that my creativity turns zero when it comes to dressing and all I can wear are trousers and tees. I'm not ready for that. Anyone else? First time eating at Five Guys

Chegamos a Londres na Terça-feira, por volta das 9h da manhã. Apanhamos o comboio para o centro da cidade e, de seguida, o metro para o hotel. Já lá tínhamos ficado o ano passado e adoramos, por isso optamos pelo mesmo! Chegamos lá e fizemos uma pequena tour pelos novos espaços do hotel (mais sobre isso noutro post), fomos pousar tudo ao quarto e rumamos a Notting Hill. Demos uma volta e fomos almoçar ao Farm Girl - já tínhamos ouvido falar imenso e decidimos experimentar. O espaço é super giro e não sei quanto ao resto da ementa, mas as tostas de abacate que pedimos não eram lá grande coisa. Após o almoço e mais umas voltinha, fomos ao Museu de História Natural, mas como fomos um pouco em cima da hora de fecho, não conseguimos ver tudo o que queríamos. Entretanto voltamos lá no dia a seguir e super aconselho, o museu é brutal! Após isso, fomos para South Kensington - outra zona super gira e com lojas maravilhosas, apesar de um pouco caras. Acabamos por jantar por lá e depois demos o dia por encerrado. O segundo dia começou em Covent Garden, outra zona que adoro e que não me importo nada de revisitar. Almoçamos no Five Guys (foi a primeira vez e gostei bastante, mas fast food não é bem a minha praia) e, como disse, voltamos ao museu - desta vez conseguimos aproveitar para ver tudo. Jantamos num restaurante italiano mesmo em frente ao hotel (é só atravessar a rua) e estava ótimo, super aconselho. E acabou assim o segundo dia. Preparados para mais? We arrived in London on Tuesday around 9am. We took the train to the centre and the underground to our hotel. We stayed in the same one that last year because we loved it so much! We arrived there and received a full tour, since they have lots of new spaces we didn't knew yet (more about that in another post), put everything in the room and went straight to Notting Hill. Walked around a bit and went have lunch at Farm Girl - a place we hear so much about and really wanted to try. The space is super cute and I don't know how 'bout the rest of the menu, but our avocado toasts weren't that good. After that we went to the neighborhood and then to the Natural History Museum. We arrived a little on time so we wasn't able to see all of it but we went back the day after and the museum is amazing, I highly recommend! After that we went to South Kensington to do a little window shopping and ended up having dinner there. The day was over and we went back to the hotel. Second day started at Covent Garden, a place I like so much and we had lunch at Five Guys for the first time. It's good, but fast food isn't really my thing. Went back to the museum as I said and we had time to see everything! Went back to the hotel and had dinner at an italian restaurant right across the street. It was very good too. And that's it! Há alguns essenciais de roupa que vão sempre comigo para Londres. Se repararem bem e forem ver as fotos das minhas viagens para lá, vão notar que é verdade. Há peças que me fazem lembrar a cidade e a sua vibe, por isso costumo criar outfits em torno delas, um pouco inconscientemente, confesso. São então: um casaco de ganga, umas calças pretas, um leather jacket, sweaters e sneakers. De todas as vezes que lá vou, acabo a levar estas peças - não sempre as mesmas, mas vocês entendem. Por isso, acho que já é típico meu. Ou da cidade. Ou meu ao viajar para a cidade. Enfim, espero que gostem e tenham um bom dia! Beijo

There are a few essential pieces I always take with me to London. If you notice weel on the other trips posts, you'll see it's true. There are actually a few pieces that remind me of the city and it's vibe so I usually create outfits around those pieces. It's an unconscious thing, but it happens. They are: a denim jacket, some black trousers, a leather jacket, sweaters and sneakers. Everytime I go to the city I pack these items. Not always the exactly same ones, but you get it.
